A little dissapointed...

In myself, and GGGRRRRRR... this software!
I just lost my whole post after writing for a good half-hour.
What I was going to say was....
I'm a little dissapointed in myself for not keeping up with my
blogging. I REALLY wanted to get a post in every day, but
life gets in the way. It was a good idea anyway.

Today is my son's last day of school, and afterward he's
heading to Six Flags Amusement park with his classmates.
The forcast calls for thunderstorms, poor kid. I'm sure a couple
of busloads of 7th graders will be able to amuse themselves tho.
The other news is that we have just found out that our
new puppy is a girl!
I know... How could we not have known? My only defense is
that we're were trusting in the information given us, and
we're not the kind of family that goes around peering at other
people's privates..

Here's a new bead....

Leaves...

I made a bead I really love yesterday...
It's this one:

The leaves are so pretty, and It's giving me some ideas
for more intricate leaf designs... so today I'm off to play
a bit more with this.... I'll let you know what happens.

Coming Home

An Amazing Photo!!

This picture was taken by a woman named

Robin Appel for a contest put on by Kodak.

It’s called,

The return.

This is what she had to say about it:

“I took this photo at the Marine Corps Air Station
in Beaufort,
South Carolina as a group of U.S. Marines
 were returning
home from the war in Iraq. As soon as
they arrived, it began
to downpour. I was lucky enough
to capture the joy they were
all feeling as they were
getting drenched in the rain (which
most of them hadn't
seen in months), coupled with finally
getting to see their
families again.

The two people walking and embracing are brother and

sister. This was such a wonderful moment for everyone

and I'm so happy I was able to capture it for them! “

.

BTW....
I know I messed up and failed to post yesterday.
Sorry about that! It was just so darned HOT! I spent the
day at a friend's house, at her pool..... friends with pools
are very good things in this world.... cultivate those
friendships! :)
kidding.....
I love you for more than just your pool Tracy!!!!
You make good curry too!!! :)
oxoxoxox!!!!

A Plethora of Beads...

I had a great morning at the torch today.....
Some nice ornate series focals and a couple of
other beads I am happy with.
I'm spending the evening getting these up on my etsy
shop.
It felt so good to get in a solid day at the torch...
Ahhh...... life is good!!
