OK... I have to ammend my earlier post.. of course someone could have a
nice body and still play Scrabble... Jeez.
I wasn't saying anything negative about skinny people.
But I could if you like... ;-)
It was more along the lines of being bombarded with
ads about sex and self-image while trying to play
a nice game of Scrabble. If I wanted that, I'd sit down
with the latest issue of Glamour, Cosmo or Vogue.
Something I actively try to stay away from.

Anyway... back to beads. They're far less controversial.
Here's a favorite one from the kiln this AM...
I only wish I could remember what colors I used in that twistie.
Anyone have an idea? Definately black and one of the
silver glass colors, but which one??

Gaming under fire....

I've been playing "Scrabulous", a game on facebook that's basically
Scrabble.... and it's fun. I've got an average of 8 or 9 games going
simultaneously for a few weeks now... fun to play a round or 2 between
listings and emails. The only problem with playing ANYTHING online is
the advertisements:
I'm trying to be all intellectual and everything, and here come the ads..
Now really....Cute clothing?? Really???
Anybody with a body like this is not sitting at home
playing scrabble. Are they???

A Tree and a Toad....

Went with Erika  to see Anita Suhanin and her band, at Toad in Cambridge last night.
Enough links for you? :) Great Show! Anita was phenomenal as expected,
and it was great to get out into the city for a night. I was turned on to Anita years ago,
before Max was born and it's been about 10 years since I've seen her.
She had a beautiful voice then, but it has deepened, not in tone, but in ....feeling?
...soul?.... maturity? Anyway....Beautiful, and a pleasure to
sit and listen to. Thanks Anita, for sharing your talent.

It snowed this morning...first snow of the season, and it's magical out there...
As I was coming up the walk to my house I noticed a tiny little plant... not sure what
it is, but it grew up in the cracks of the concrete.......Bansai with attitude...
Hang in there, Dude...it's going to be a long winter....

More beads going up on the website today...
Breathe in...breathe out...
Have a mindful day... and if I don't get to say it in time for thursday, have a wonderful holiday!

Leaves???

Well, this is what happenned after I gave up on the leaf beads...
Not exactly subltle or organic, but the right colors....oh well.
Sometimes it's fun to do something different than what i usually do.
I really like making bracelet sized beads occasionally, and I have a LOT of
bright colors that were feeling ignored.
